*Disclosure: We were hosted by Breakfast Republic, Toast Gastrobrunch, Park 101, and Sammy’s Woodfire Grill to supply an honest review of the Top 5 Family-Friendly Restaurants in San Diego.*
San Diego is like heaven for foodies. There are literally endless choices for restaurants, bakeries, ice cream shops, and more. We are total foodies right here so we loved trying out new restaurants on our recent stay in San Diego. Most of the restaurants are family-friendly and even dog-friendly. So check out the Top 5 Family-Friendly Restaurants in San Diego!
1. Breakfast Republic
With 9 locations in San Diego and the surrounding areas, there is a Breakfast Republic near you, so no matter where you are staying this is one place not to be missed! We visited the Mission Valley location and the decor was just our style, very industrial with lots of wood accents and metal details.
And let’s talk about the food.
First off, the Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is the most delicious coffee I have ever had in my whole entire life! It is served over ice and has a yummy froth on the top. Amazing…
Because they have so many breakfast choices it was hard to choose. **Tip: we asked our server what their most ordered items are. They know the menu the best so the servers are a great resource.** We went with the Banana Split French Toast, the S’Mores Fench Toast, and the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. And all of them were perfect and delicious.
Breakfast Republic is definitely one of the Top 5 Family-Friendly Restaurants in San Diego. Don’t forget to snap a pic of your kiddos sitting on the cracked egg chairs outside because they are totally adorable.
2. Park 101
Park 101 in Carlsbad is a true dining experience. With an 8000 sq. ft. multi-level dining complex there is endless amounts of fun to be had. The restaurant is located across from Pacific Beach and is kid and dog-friendly.
We dined in the Garden Pub area of the restaurant. They have fun games for the kids to play in this area while you eat.
They also have a “to-go” area where you can grab some sandwiches and ice cream. As well as an adults only area upstairs.
We chose to have a few things to share since we liked so many things on the menu. Tri-Tip Tacos, Caesar Salad, and the Pulled Pork Sandwich were our choices.
Along with that, we had the most unbelievable Meat & Cheese Board on the planet. It was a meal in itself! I paired it perfectly with some Red Wine Sangria (wink!).
As if the meal was not perfect already, they give the kids freshly made cotton candy for dessert. Yes, I said cotton candy.
Park 101 is definitely one of the Top 5 Family-Friendly Restaurants in San Diego.
3. Toast Gastrobrunch
Toast Gastrobrunch takes breakfast to the next level! From their mouthwatering french toast to their little balls of fried mashed potato heaven, there is something delectable for everyone.
The decor of the restaurant is adorable and totally Instagramable.
We chose the Prime Beef & Eggs, the Plain Jane, and the Stuffed French Toast. We would without a doubt choose all of those again, they were AMAZING!
Can we just talk about the presentation here for a hot minute? They serve their meals with a chocolate-covered apple! Gianna almost fell off the chair when they brought her breakfast to the table. Now that is definitely an unforgettable breakfast right there.
Toast Gastrobrunch is located in the Carlsbad area just a few minutes from Legoland. It’s a great place to fuel up before a day of fun at Legoland.
4. Sammy’s Woodfire Grill
We are pizza lovers in our family and Sammy’s Woodfire Grill did not disappoint. They have 12 locations throughout California and Nevada. We had pizza and pork dumplings that were magically delicious.
Definitely do not skip dessert as Sammy’s. The Mini Donuts and Messy Sundaes are to die for.
5. Prado
Prado is located in the center of historic Balboa Park. They have a great outdoor courtyard for dining. Menu items include tacos, burgers, and kids meals like grilled cheese.
If you are ever vacationing in San Diego, these are definitely the Top 5 Family-Friendly Restaurants in San Diego.
