One of the must-see attractions for us, when we vacationed in San Diego, was definitely Sea World San Diego. We are total animal lovers in our family so actually quite a few attractions for us involved animals.

Our Seaworld San Diego Adventure!

Seaworld San Diego literally has something for everyone in the family. So there are lots of animals of course, but there are also rides for big kids and little kids, and they even have a water park!

Because we are such animal lovers, of course, our favorite thing to do was to see all of the animals. We loved the touch tanks the most I think. And we touched everything from sharks to stingrays, to cleaner fish.

There are lots of shows at Seaworld San Diego, we only had time for the Orca Encounter which was amazing, but here are a few tips:

  1. Get there early. I mean real early. At least 30 minutes before the show starts or you will not get a seat.
  2. There is literally zero shade. And it is HOT! Be prepared.
  3. Beware of the splash zone. You will get wet! And I mean soaking wet.

The show is great. *Secret: I totally wanted to be a marine biologist for a living when I was younger until I learned that you actually have to go into the ocean and not just work with whales at Seaworld.

Our Seaworld San Diego Adventure!

We spent one whole day at Seaworld San Diego, but we definitely did not get to see and do everything. I would recommend 2-3 days if you really want to experience everything that there is to offer. A great way to save on admission is the Go San Diego Pass. There are multiple options to choose from and you can save a ton of money, especially if you are visiting multiple attractions during your vacation.
