Summer is in full swing. My favorite thing about summer is all of the ripe and juicy fruit that is available. We love this delicious Smoothie Bowl made with Dannon® Oikos® Traditional Greek Yogurt and yummy strawberries, blueberries, and bananas.
Smoothie Bowls are all the rage these days. They are all over Pinterest and constantly popping up in my Instagram feed. So I thought I would give it a try too and it was a huge hit. I used my basic freezer smoothie recipe and doctored it up a bit.
Gianna and I headed out to our local Walmart to pick up our ingredients. I love that I can just shop at one store and get everything that I need.
We picked up our frozen and fresh fruit (this recipe uses both), and chia seeds. Then we stopped in the refrigerated section to get our Dannon® Oikos® Greek Yogurt.
Gianna took some time to decide which one of these delicious flavors to put in our smoothie bowl. Dannon® Oikos® is available in the following flavorful choices: Key Lime, Orange Cream, Raspberry, Toasted Coconut Vanilla, Banana Cream, Lemon Meringue, and Plain.
As with most kids, this took some time. She wanted to pick the flavor that she would love the most.
We decided that the Banana Cream flavor would be the best choice for our Smoothie Bowl. We also grabbed the Lemon Meringue flavor for snacking and it was just bursting with flavor.
The next morning we decided that Smoothie Bowls with Dannon® Oikos® Greek Yogurt was what was on the menu for today. The recipe is so easy that you can whip these up in no time.
