Disney vacations usually need to be planned way in advance. In fact, we booked and planned our last Disney vacation over a year in advance. I can tell you that it seemed like a lifetime away. To keep the “Disney magic” alive while we countdown to our vacation, I planned what I call Disney Dinners. Every month leading up to our vacation I pick a Disney movie and planned a dinner based on it. This month is Lady and the Tramp. We eat dinner and watch the movie together. This really helped the months go by leading up to the trip.
Let me tell you all about this months dinner. Here is the menu:
To make the menu, I just searched for some Lady and the Tramp clip art. I used Adobe Photoshop to create the menu and added the clip art.
We dined on Bella Notte Spaghetti and Trusty’s Caesar Salad. I used my classic marinara recipe and a store-bought Caesar salad kit. You can totally use any jarred marinara sauce you like and/or make the Caesar dressing from scratch instead of store bought.

The Lady’s Knot Rolls are just canned breadsticks that you can grab in the dairy section of the grocery store. Pop open the can and twist each breadstick into a knot shape. Bake, as directed on the can and tada!
The favorite part of the meal for the kids were Tony’s Italian Sodas. I made them by pureeing 1/2 cup strawberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar in a blender. Place 1 tablespoon of fruit in a glass and fill the glass with club soda. Top with whipped cream and enjoy.
For dessert, we had Dog Bones and Spaghetti and Meatball Cupcakes. I made the Dog Bones using a bone shaped cookie cutter to cut sugar cookies. Once baked, I dipped the ends in melted chocolate. I made cupcakes and squeezed frosting out of a pastry bag to resemble spaghetti, then topped each one with a chocolate candy.
After dinner, we watched the movie together and had snacks (popcorn, candy, and biscuit shaped cookies.)
Whether you are going on a Disney vacation or not, you can have a Disney dinner. It’s so much fun! Who doesn’t love Disney movies, right?
