We went on a 7 night Royal Caribbean cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. We also spent two jam-packed days at Universal Studios in Florida. There is literally so much to tell you that I am going to break up my posts into a few days at a time. Check out our fun-filled day 3 and 4.
Day 3 of our cruise on the Oasis of the Seas was a sea day. I must admit, sea days are my favorite days. We cruise a lot. I mean A LOT! Honestly, I have been to all of the islands in the Caribbean dozens of times. The reason I cruise is really for the ship itself. And what a ship she is.
We spent the day exploring the ship and swimming, which is really two of our kids’ favorite things. The Oasis is massive. You don’t realize how massive until you see it in port compared to other cruise ships. It’s like a floating city.
Here are some of the highlights:
We had a blast exploring! While we were at it we also indulged in some of the delicious food available on the Oasis. There are endless choices for where to eat. 39 choices to be exact. Some are complimentary while some are an additional fee. All are delicious.
Eric loves steak. He is a total carnivore. He ate a huge steak so many times that we lost count.
The food was just amazing. So many choices and every choice was delicious.
The dessert was by far my favorite. It was also Gianna’s favorite as you can see from the chocolate on her forehead. HaHa
We headed back to our room to relax for a bit before dinner and a show. Our room was a balcony room this time and I must say we were loving it. We had to have a little photo shoot of course.
We headed out to dinner. We had the most amazing waiter and assistant waiter. Ernesto and Sukhil catered to our every need. After the first night, they knew all of the things we liked and even brought the kids a fruit plate and their favorite drink every night.
After dinner, we headed to the theatre for the Come Fly With Me show. It was spectacular and we loved every minute of it.
The kids were so excited when we got back to our room and they saw the towel animal that our room steward made for them.
The next day we woke up in Labadee, Haiti. What a sight to wake up to. When we opened up our shades to our balcony we were in heaven and excited for a beach day.
Labadee is the private island for Royal Caribbean. There is a gorgeous beach, an alpine coaster, even a zip line. So much to see and do. There are even bars on the island. We just wanted to relax and swim in the ocean and the kids just wanted to play in the sand.
They even have a full buffet lunch that they serve right on the island. I will say that the buffet line gets insanely long and we had to wait a long time which the kids were not happy about. But the food was plentiful and delicious.
We had a great beach day on Labadee but the kids were exhausted from all the sea and sun so we headed back to the ship to get ready for dinner and our show for the evening.
Our show tonight was the Oasis of Dreams Aqua Show. This was our favorite show of the week. It is an open-air show in the Aquatheatre on the back of the ship. The show dazzles with synchronized swimming, acrobatics, even high diving. It is truly amazing that they can have a show like this on a cruise ship.
After the show, we called it a day and headed to bed. See you tomorrow.
