We just had a much-needed family weekend getaway to Cape Cod Massachusetts. We were able to relax and reconnect as a family and we had so much fun! Total foodies right here so we loved trying new restaurants. Visited a glass blowing company and got to see 1st hand how they make blown glass. AMAZING! We also spent a few hours at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and we all loved it. Check out our Day at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History.
This is a cute little museum located in Brewster. You can take a visit through the history of Cape Cod through amazing exhibits and an incredible aquarium. Fun for all ages. It’s a great place to add to your Cape Cod vacation. Plan on spending about 2-3 hours in the museum and even more time if you head outside to explore their museum trail. It was damp and dreary when we visited so we spent our time inside.
What we loved most about The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
They have all sorts of exhibits that everyone will love. We spent a good amount of time in The Marshview Room. This room celebrates wildlife and our family is a bunch of animal lovers. They have all sorts of things in this room.

Our absolute favorite spot in the whole museum was the Aquarium. It was basically a whole lower level dedicated to freshwater and saltwater habitats. There are tanks and tanks filled with all different “creatures.” Some we were familiar with and some that we never saw before.
There is also a big habitat tank that you can see all sorts of species up close and personal. It looks like a touch tank, but it is not so it might be hard for little kids to fight the urge to dip their little fingers in the tank. We just wanted to stick our hands right in.

The gift shop is so stinking cute. They sell all kinds of things from traditional Cape Cod souvenirs to toys and books and stuffed animals.
Just in case you need a snack, they also sell some questionable treats. LOL
