Father’s Day is on June 18th this year. It is right around the corner! Wow, how did that happen? I feel like it was just Mother’s Day yesterday. Anyways…

Gianna and Eric love doing DIY homemade gifts. Every parent knows that doesn’t always go that smooth, some end 2 hours later with a giant mess!

These adorable mugs take no time at all. They require only an oven and two other supplies: a cup and colored sharpies. That’s all folks. My kind of craft! Patience is not my strong suit. HaHa.

Here’s what you need:

We already had the sharpies. I picked up 3 mugs at my local dollar store (1 for each kid and 1 for me.)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Write and color those bad boys until your hearts’ content.

What, doesn’t every family craft at 7 am dressed as Pocahontas and Albert Einstein? This is my life people, I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried!

When you are happy with your creation, place the mugs on a cookie sheet. Put them in the oven for 40 minutes.

After 40 minutes, leave them in the oven to cool. And viola!

I have read a few people that said they use a special kind of sharpie or it comes off when you wash them but we used regular old sharpies and they worked just fine.

I would definitely recommend gently washing them by hand with minimal scrubbing.

There you have it. Cute mugs that dads will love! Happy Father’s Day!!
