I am not what one would call “outdoorsy.” I’m not really a fan of bugs and dirt and the cleanup that comes from taking kids on a hike. It’s hard to believe that I actually camp every weekend for 6 months of the year. In fact, here are 10 pictures that will make you want to go camping. The things I do for my kids! Dianna’s Baths in Conway New Hampshire is a great family friendly hike for people like me who don’t LOVE the outdoors.
The hike at Dianna’s Baths is fairly easy, even for young kids. It’s 6/10th of a mile on a relatively flat gravel path through the woods. Along the way, there are gorgeous cascading waterfalls big and small.
Plenty of big and little rocks that kids love to climb on. There are small areas where the water pools in them making for nice areas for small children to splash in.
There is a large parking lot at the entrance. Also, a self-service pay station which requires visitors to purchase a daily pass for $3 and display it on their dashboard.
Dogs are allowed if you have your four-legged friend with you. If you would like to pack a picnic lunch, there are a few picnic tables along the hike.
I recommend lots and lots of bug spray. The mosquitos and black flies are just relentless which is to be expected since you are in the middle of the woods. Also, the water is fed from the mountains so it is always very very cold. That wasn’t really much of a problem for my kids though.
Our family had so much fun on our hike at Dianna’s Baths. It is a great family activity if you are vacationing this summer in New Hampshire. Happy Hiking!!
