It looks like 2018 will be an epic year of movies in our house. We love going to the movie theatre and also watching movies at home. Every time we see a movie, there are trailers for so many movies that we want to see that we have had to start writing them down so we won’t forget all of these awesome films. Here is our list of must-see family movies in 2018. We are sure you will want to see many of them too.
Ferdinand
Ferdinand is a movie about a bull who escapes the life of bullfighting to be adopted by a girl and live a peaceful existence on a farm. The people of the town do not know how sweet Ferdinand really is and they are scared of him so he gets sent back to the bullfighting ranch.
Don’t worry, the movie does not have a sad ending for Ferdinand and is full of love and laughter. Great movie for families from toddlers all the way up to adults! The whole family will love it.
Forever My Girl
Forever My Girl is a heartwarming story about Liam who chose fame over his hometown and his life that he lived. When he returns home, he realizes what he left behind. It’s a story that teaches that fame and fortune do not always bring happiness. Disclaimer: This movie is rated PG, but in my opinion, I think it would be best for children 10 and older due to some mature storylines.
A Wrinkle In Time
A star-studded cast makes for a great family movie. Disney® is really outdoing themselves with this blockbuster. This movie is filled with family, friendship, science, and adventure. The special effects and scenery alone will keep everyone interested. Definitely adding a Wrinkle In Time to our families’ must-see list!
The Incredibles 2
Our family loved the 1st Incredibles movie. Of course, we can’t wait to see the sequel. In this one, the Parr family struggles with living a normal family life all while saving the world. It looks like a super cute film that the whole family will be sure to enjoy!
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
Clara is in search of a key that will unlock a box with a gift from her mother. She is led to the key and falls into a parallel world filled with gangs of mice and lands of sweets. Disclaimer: This movie may contain some vivid scenes that might scare small children.
Wreck-It Ralph 2
In the 2nd installment of Wreck-It Ralph, Ralph needs to travel into the internet to find a part for the Sugar Rush game. He needs to do this without breaking the internet which proves difficult for Ralph.
Mary Poppins Returns
Oh how we LOVE, LOVE the 1st Mary Poppins movie. I think we have watched it at least 100 times! In the sequel, mary sets forth on a new adventure with the next generation of the Banks family to help show them the joy that is missing in their everyday lives.
Peter Rabbit
Peter Rabbit is back with his signature mischief in this movie. His ongoing feud with Mr. Mcregor is still in full swing as they compete for the love of an animal-loving woman.
Sherlock Gnomes
The beloved Gnomeo and Juliet recruit Sherlock Gnomes to investigate the sudden disappearance of the garden furniture. These little garden gnomes are back at it and it’s hilarious, especially Mankini.
