I am going to truly rock your world with this recipe. This mini apple pie recipe has only 2 ingredients! Yes, you heard me right. I whipped these up last night in no time and it is so easy.
Here are the ingredients:
1 (13 0z) can Pillsbury flaky cinnamon rolls with buttercream frosting
1 1/3 cups apple pie filling, coarsely chopped
That’s it! Can you believe it? Here’s how to make them.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray 8 muffin cups with non-stick cooking spray.
Open the package of cinnamon rolls and separate into 8 rolls.
Using your hands, press each cinnamon roll into a muffin cup. Be sure to press them so the dough covers the bottom and the sides.
That’s some cinnamon roll yumminess right there.
Next, scoop 2 tablespoons of pie filling into each dough cup.
Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Allow them to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
While the lovely little pies are cooling, take the buttercream frosting that came with the cinnamon rolls and spoon it into a microwave safe dish. Heat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds until it reaches a drizzle consistency.
Using a spoon, remove the pies from the pan and place them on a dish.
Take a spoon or a fork and drizzle those babies with the sweet frosting.
