Hey there! Another installment of Friday Favorites coming at you. Here is a peek into our lives to see what we are doing, products we love, or maybe one of our favorite recipes.
We had loads of fun this week. We baked, we went to the movies, the kids experienced a neighborhood ice cream truck for the very 1st time, and we were graciously given the cutest new book to read!
Our Favorite Activity!
There were two activities that were our favorite this week. We loved them both so much that we just couldn’t bare to choose. We had a few rainy days this week so we decided to go to the movies to see The Nut Job 2.
Surly the squirrel is back again in this movie along with all of his animal friends. The animals are on a mission to save their park from being turned into an amusement park by the corrupt mayor. During their efforts, things sometimes go crazy and calamity ensues. This movie is very family friendly and quite humorous. We had a great family movie night.
Our 2nd favorite activity was the kids first visit ever to an ice cream truck!
I always had ice cream trucks as a kid. I remember how all the kids would literally go into hysteria mode the minute we heard the even the faintest sound of the ice cream truck music. “Mom, give me some money now!!” HaHa…
I feel like ice cream trucks have slowly been disappearing over the years. Wouldn’t you know it, an ice cream truck just happened to drive into our neighborhood. I don’t know what it is about the ice cream truck that turns kids into maniacs, but my kids went ballistic! They loved the 1st time ever getting ice cream from an ice cream truck and so did mom and dad. It brought back so many wonderful childhood memories for us and we loved sharing this moment with our kids.

We were so graciously given a copy of Cutie’s Big Adventure, Cutie Meets Mr. Lizard by Felicia Di John.
The book takes you on the adventures of Cutie, the Chihuahua. Cutie does not like to stay home alone all day so he sneaks out of the house and goes on adventures where he meets Mr. Lizard and the Lizard family. If your kids are animal lovers then this is a great book for them!
Cutie Meets Mr. Lizard is actually the 1st book in a series. The next book, Cutie Saves Miss Bunny, is scheduled to be released in September 2017.

Our Favorite Recipe!
Our favorite recipe of the week was definitely these Hello Fall Cake Batter Truffles! Fall is almost upon us. For us, fall is filled with so many wonderful things like apple picking, sweater weather, hot chocolate, and most exciting of all, lots of baking. These lovely little nuggets are made with a boxed funfetti cake mix which gives them a dense and delicious flavor profile.
