Hey there! Another installment of Friday Favorites coming at you. Here is a peek into our lives to see what we are doing, products we love, or maybe one of our favorite recipes.

We had loads of fun this week. We baked, we went swimming at a friend’s house, and we picked some fresh veggies from a friend’s garden!

Our Favorite Activity!

Our favorite activity this week was definitely swimming at a friend’s house. We were graciously invited to lunch and swimming this week and we jumped at the invitation. It’s so sad to think that we will be starting school again in less than 3 weeks. We are doing everything we can to squeeze all we can into the last little bit of summer.

Luckily for us, they also have a garden that is overflowing with delicious veggies. Gianna has a blast picking some vegetables for us to take home for dinner last night. We made a yummy pasta and had a beautiful fresh salad on the side. Our friend also shared her delicious trick with us. She puts fresh mint and some cut up cucumbers in her water. It was so refreshing! It is a great way to help you get your water intake in every day.

Our Favorite Product!

Like I said summer is coming to an end and I am trying to get the most out of these last few weeks even when it comes to food. I have been trying to get in as much wonderful summer vegetables as I can before its squash for days on end! I love, love, love Caprese salad. What makes my Caprese salad so amazing is this Pastene Balsamic Vinegar Cream. It has a thicker consistency than regular balsamic vinegar so it “sticks” better to whatever you drizzle it on. It also has a little bit of sweetness which gives it a much softer flavor than ordinary vinegar.

I’m telling you, I could just drink this stuff straight from the bottle. It’s that good! Balsamic Cream goes great on things like Caprese salad, bruschetta, or any kind of salad for that matter.

Our Favorite Recipe!

Our favorite recipe of the week was definitely this Perfect Pistachio Cake. This pistachio cake is so light and moist and fantastic. I know what you might be thinking, pistachio cake?!  The funny thing is it really doesn’t taste like pistachios. If I didn’t tell you then you probably couldn’t even tell that it was pistachio. The recipe uses pistachio pudding which is what makes it so moist and delicious. I promise that if you give it a try it will be your new go to dessert.

And there you have it, our favorites of the week. I hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into our week and please join us again for Friday Favorites!!
