Hey there! We are starting something new over here at Food, Family, and Chaos! Every week or two we will be doing a series called Friday Favorites. It will be a peek into our lives to see what we are doing, products we love, or maybe one of our favorite recipes.

We had a very busy week with lots of activities and appointments. Of course, we did make some time for fun though! We baked, we went camping, and we squeezed in a movie.

Our Favorite Activity!

We went to the movies to see Despicable Me 3. To save some money we went to the matinee showing and brought our own candy from the DollarTree store even though it is against the rules.  Shhh, don’t tell anyone!

I thought they had run out of material for yet another sequel, but I was wrong.  It was so cute and funny. Those little minions get me every time…

The movie had a lot of parts that played on an 80’s theme which was quite funny. The 80’s innuendos definitely flew right over the kids’ heads.  HaHa. This definitely made the movie appealing to both kids and adults.

We all loved the movie! A fun idea would be to have a Despicable Me movie marathon and watch Despicable Me 1 and 2 at home and then go see #3 at the theatre.

Our Favorite Product!

I have to admit that I do not cook in the crockpot often. I am afraid that it will burn down my house if I leave it on when I’m not home. The purpose of a crockpot is to do that I know, but I am paranoid! Anyways, where was I?

When I do use the crockpot I dread cleaning it. In come Reynold’s Slow Cooker Liners to save the day. Where have these things been hiding all of my adult life?!

They made cleanup so simple that it’s amazing. I made 4 Ingredient Crock Pot Apple Spice Cake this week and the cleanup was a breeze. You just put the liner in the crockpot.

Add in all of your yummy ingredients.

Let it cook up some yummy deliciousness for a few hours! And look how easy it is to clean:

Ta Da, no cleaning required! Just throw the liner in the trash.

Our Favorite Recipe!

Our favorite recipe of the week was definitely this 4 Ingredient Crock Pot Apple Spice Cake. Like I said earlier, we had a busy week. It was so great to just put 4 ingredients into the crockpot and set it and forget it. 2-4 hours later you have a delicious dessert!

And there you have it, our favorites of the week. I hope you enjoyed a sneak peek into our week and please join us again for Friday Favorites!!
