Well, I guess I am going to have to face the fact that fall is almost upon us! Pretty soon it will be pumpkin this, and pumpkin that for days on end. Don’t get me wrong, fall is actually my favorite season, especially here in New England. The colors are mesmerizing, the air is cool, and family-friendly Halloween movies are so fun to watch. I think I am just in denial that summer is really over.

There’s no better way to celebrate the arrival of fall than a family movie night. Here is our list of fun and spooky films that our family loves to watch every year!

All of our favorite monsters are back for the 2nd installment of Hotel Transylvania! Count Dracula is still running the show at a hotel for monsters. It’s a hotel where monsters can be themselves and get away from the dreaded humans. This edition introduces us to Dennis, the half-monster, half-human grandson of Count Dracula. While Mavis is away, Count Dracula is determined to make a monster out of Dennis and his attempts will delight and entertain you!

This was one of my favorite movies as a child. A couple of ghosts make every attempt to get the new residents of their house to leave. When all their attempts fail, they call the ghost with the most, Beetlejuice! Things quickly get out of hand and calamity ensues in this hilarious Halloween comedy.

This is such a cute family Halloween series! 13-year-old Marnie discovers she is a witch and travels through a secret portal to Halloweentown. It is a magical place of ghosts where Marnie battles evil curses and wicked witches.
